Designed specifically as formal courses for people wanting to be commercially active and needing a certificate of competency, these modular AWARDS are instruction-based and then the candidate is assessed on the content / practical. The modular system provides the building blocks in progressive AWARDS and it is recommended that they are done systematically as each AWARD presumes the skills of the previous AWARD.
Direct-Entry into an AWARD is possible if the candidate can show sufficient experience, however it is important to note that the assessment will include the lower AWARD content as well.

The winter hiking skills focus on winter conditions specific skills and assumes proficient summer skills. The combined skills course, as the name suggests, covers both Summer & Winter skills.
Aimed at persons in charge of hiking groups where professional competence needs to be assessed for employers or clients. School groups, club groups and mountain guides are examples.
