8 day roc safari, climbing and adventuring from Cape Town to Spitzkoppe
!! 3-10 August 2020 !!
There are three objectives in this road-trip offering:
Affectionately known as The Matterhorn of Africa, Spitzkoppe is a granite inselberg rising out of the desert just North of the capital, Namibia, and offers spectacular sport (single & multi pitch) as well as trad climbing. The camping at the base means the walk-in's are particularly friendly :-)
Aussenkehr climbing is one of the un-heralded gems of adventure climbing without the epic! While there are few routes established to challenge the strong girls and boys (you can always open some), the existing options in the 5a-6c range climb exceptionally well, and the sorrounding canyon walls offer a trad-rack adventure without bounds. A paddle on the great Orange River is a welcome after climb jaunt.
Sossusvlei needs little introduction, and is strategically located on an otherwise long and boring drive from Aussenkehr to Spitzkoppe.
We offer two options for joining this rock safari:
The trip is inclusive of the following
The Cost is EXCLUSIVE of your travel to our start point, Cape Town
This is intended for climbers who are not needing a guide to join at a reduced cost while benefitting from the shared logistics and info (our guides will offer advise and beta, but you are climbing independently / self sufficiently)
The trip is inclusive
Dates are 3-10 August 2020 leaving and returning to Cape Town and space is limited to 12 people.
